Intermittent fasting is a weight-loss diet plan that is very effective in losing weight quickly. In just a few weeks you can lose up to 5-7 kg very quickly. It's very effective and most people followed intermittent fasting to maintain their weight throughout their life. In intermittent fasting, you lose weight by starving and fasting. Intermittent fasting cannot tone up your body rather it is just another type of weight loss technique. It cannot make up your muscles or give you perfect abs because you have to starve for some time of your day. Intermittent fasting is actually fasting for some time and then again start eating for some time. This diet is actually containing all the good foods but for a limited time. There are four types of intermittent fasting people do usually. 

1) Sixteen-Eight

Sixteen-eight is the most followed type of intermittent fasting. In this type of intermittent fasting, you have to starve for 16 hours of the day and have to eat for 8 hours of the day.

2) Twenty-Four

Twenty-Four is the second type of Intermittent fasting in which people have to starve for 20 hours of the day and eat for only 4 hours of the day which is really tough.

3) One-ON One- OFF

One-ON One- OFF is a third type of intermittent fasting in which one whole day people starve and another whole day they eat. Fasting day is not like normal fasting rather people drink water and take some tea. 

4)  Five-ON Two-OFF

Five-ON Two-OFF is the last type of intermittent fasting in which people have to eat for 5 days and have to starve completely for 2 days. On starving days they have to drink water only. 


HOW TO DO THIS INTERMITTENT FASTING?


In intermittent fasting, you have to take a certain number of calories whether you choose any type of fasting from the above four. You have to count calories according to your weight goal.

  • If your goal weight is 130 pounds (which is about 60 kg) then you have to take 130 grams of protein per day which is about 520 calories. Because 1 gram of protein contains 4 calories.
  • And you have to take 130 grams of carbohydrates per day which is also about 520 calories because 1 gram of carb contains 4 calories.
  • Plus you have to take 130/4= 34 grams of good fats per day which is about 310-340 calories because 1 gram of fats contains 9-10 calories.
  • This is the right way to count your intake.
  • Now the total count is about 1380-1400 calories per day. But again it depends on your weight goal.
Now let's say your weight goal is 170 pounds (which is about 78 kg)
  • You have to take 170 grams of protein per day which is about 680 calories.
  • Next you have to take 170 grams of carbohydrates per day which is about 680 calories too.
  • And lastly you have to take 170/4= 43 grams of fats per day which is about 430 calories.
  • Now the total count is about 1800 calories per day.
  • The same method can be used for any gender or weighted people regardless of their age and height. But it is very important to set your weight goal so that you can count your daily calorie intake.


Once you have counted your daily calorie intake you can make your diet plan according to your intermittent fasting type. Whether you choose sixteen-eight or any other type you have to eat that many specific calories in that limited time. 

You have to make your own diet plan according to your calories and check out every food. Remember you have to eat that specific calories only. 

Now intermittent fasting is a quick weight loss option. Some people may find it easy to do but some may get offended quickly. So the best thing is to choose a weight loss option that is suitable for you. And you don't get bored easily. Remember weight loss is a journey, you have to be dedicated and patient enough to go through it. You can get a slim body with any weight loss technique, choose which is more appealing to you. Don't force yourself rather enjoy it. Think of your goal and stay energized until you see the results. And lastly, do it for yourself not to please others because you cannot please this world and cannot fulfill its beauty goals.

Stay Hydrated
The most important thing in intermittent fasting is to stay hydrated all day. Because if you do not drink enough water, you will probably stay inactive and will feel weakness throughout your day. And also you will definitely lose interest and stop everything. So make sure to drink as much water as you can.

Workout
The next thing you have to keep in mind is that you should not do high-intensity workouts while doing intermittent fasting. This is because your body is already feeling very low in fasting and if you do much exercising your muscles can get very weak. Also, don't do weight lifting because it can also make you feel lazy and weak throughout the day. All you have to do is to do some yoga and simple cardio exercises that will make you active and stay focused. But don't forget to drink water in between workouts.
